Fixed Prosthesis
First, the prosthodontist grinds the teeth that will serve as abutments for the fixed prosthetic appliance, then he makes an impression or the area that will allow the laboratory to create an exact prosthesis for the area where the appliance will be placed. This procedure enables the artificial teeth to fit on the prepared teeth. For a fixed prosthesis to be reliable, the natural teeth serving as abutments must be in healthy conditions.
